Indian Innings: Indian batsmen showed their outstanding performance to bat first at PCA stadium, Mohali. To win the match, Shahid Afridi needed 262 runs. However, after 8 years, India renewed its passport once again to reach final by overpowering Pakistan national team by 29 runs. The battle was severe and Pakistan had to leave the playground by scoring 231 runs. Sachin Tendulkar’s brilliant 85 runs smoothed the way to victory. He showcased his expertise to offer few master strokes which seem to revive the lost flashbacks of his dazzling performance in previous matches. Indian seamers also showed their skills to assist Indian captain MS Dhoni to win the Second Semi-Final match. The first semifinal has already been played and Sri Lanka has reached the final stage. The final ICC world cup cricket tournament will be held at Wankhede Stadium, in Mumbai on Saturday.
Pakistan Innings: Pakistan struggled hard to snatch the match from the grips of Indian team. However, all well that ends well. Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi has lost the game to MS Dhoni, the Indian captain. Pakistani team headed by Shahid Afridi was determined to put 100 percent effort to squeeze the semi-final match from the hands of India. However, Wahad Riaz’s brilliant contribution didn’t come handy to Pakistani captain to win the match. Riaz got 5 wickets for 46 runs. In addition, Misbah-ul-Haq scored 56 runs very speedily. Though Pakistani players tried their level best to defeat their rivals, Pakistan team was smashed by Indian bawlers. Hafeez performed excellently, and he bagged 43 runs after playing 59 balls. On the other hand, Asad Shafiq’s contribution is noticeable, as he was able to shoot up the scoring rate by adding more 30 runs to the total runs of his national team. At long last, Pakistan had to surrender to Indian team by losing the game for 29 runs.
