How to Monitor Children Internet Activity Using Parental Controls in Windows 7?

Protecting your children on the internet is a must. With Windows 7 you can use the parental controls to control their access, from the length of time they spend on the internet to the websites they are allowed to browse.

1. In order to utilize these facilities you need to create an account where the parental controls will be situated.

2. When you have done this, log in to the administrator account and click the windows logo.

3. Select ‘Control Panel‘ to open another window.

4. Once in the control panel, select ‘user accounts and family safety‘ then ‘set up parental controls for any user

5. A drop down menu will appear containing a list of all users, including those you want to set parental controls on. Open the account that you want to administer parental controls on.

6. Upon opening the parental control, select ‘enforce current setting‘. This will allow you to set up controls for time limits and games. You can also block certain sites and programs from being accessed.
