Only God knows how much I struggled yesterday to insert 30+ images inside one of my previous article “30 Best Way To Represent 404 Error Page On Blog, Website and WordPress on WordPress. I tried all my best to do the job simpler but no ways I could do it. For a while I thought discarding the post as it would take me 2 hours to post 30+ images individually. As you know WordPress doesn’t allow multiple insertion of images inside our post. Yeah ofcourse they allow now multiple Upload of images via flash browser but not insertion. We need to click Insert This Image for 30+ time for 1 post to insert 30+ images.
I thought why not to try out my luck at Google Search for this. I did lots of search and found some nonsense article which suggested changing some php instructions on media.php and media.js which I did as per their saying. But still no sign of working of multiple insertion of images. I think by now even God might have felt pretty on me
I dunno what happened next, I suddenly landed on a page where I read something “Fast Image Insertion”, I did search for any plugin on their site and finally got the plugin. Installed it immediately and Opened my UPLOAD IMAGE window and now I could see “TICK” options using which I could select multiple images and Insert them all One single click. I was too happy when I saw it working and my work of inserting 30+ image was completed within half an hour.
HOW TO INSTALL, CUSTOMIZE, FASTER IMAGE INSERT:
1. Download Faster Image Insert plugins.
2. Upload the downloaded plugin by using Filezilla or any other ftp client under “/wp-content/plugins/” directory.
3. Go to WP Dashboard, Activate the Faster Image Insert plugin.
4. Now if you haven’t uploaded any images so far, please do it first using the normal Add an image option available on your Add New Post window.
5. After uploading the 30+ images, click GALLERY on top [as shown on below screenshot].
6. So now you will be able to see “TICK BOX“, simply tick all the images whichever you want to multiple insert and click “Insert Selected Image” [as shown on below screenshot].
That’s it!
You can do the 4 hour job of inserting multiple images just in couple of time by making use of Faster Image Insert plugins.

Works like a charm! This saved me hours of image insertion. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Welcome. Yes this plugin save my hours too!!! -:)
I’ve downloaded the faster image plugin but I can’t seem to get to this step “/wp-content/plugins/” to upload the plugin
When I use the extension name — for example: www.(blogname).wordpress.com/wp-content/plugins/ — a blank page comes up.
It may be that I’m technologically wet behind the ears.. but I’d love to make this work! I’m just not sure how to upload the plug in…
Can you help me out?
Thanks!!
Hey you cant type “/wp-content/plugins/” on your address bar to get into that page. You got to use either your cpanel File manager or FTP program to goto that page. And upload the plugin to that destination. Come back to your WP dashboard and activate this plugin and start making use of it.
Hi Sagar,
Thanks for your response! But I’m still a little lost. I’m just using WordPress as is: the dashboard to control what I do. I’m not familiar with cpanel File manager and I’m not using a FTP program (I’m not familiar with these). I warned you I really am on a basic level technology wise! ; )
Are your directions for self hosted sites only? Perhaps I optimistically thought I could use your directions with my wordpress hosted blog.
The photo uploader on wordpress is so darned time consuming I really was hoping to find a ‘insert all’ solution to the photo uploader!
Any other suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!
Thanks!
Well you also have option to upload plugin via dashboard.
Goto PLUGINS[look at left sidebars of your dashboard] > ADD NEW > UPLOAD > select the plugins and upload it > ACTIVATE.
That’t it. You can find the “insert all” option under NEW POST article than onwards. I hope I was clear.
Hi there,
The only thing is that on my dashboard there is no ‘plug in’ option. In an image on another website I saw that the ‘plug in’ option is usually between ‘Appearance’ and ‘Users’. It simply doesn’t appear on my dashboard.
I don’t have any ‘plug in’ option on my dashboard at all that I can see. I had looked to see if I could easily upload the plugin but I can’t see an option for this.
Thanks again!
Allison
PS I just realised that your information is for wordpress.org not wordpress.com sites I believe. That’s why I’m not seeing an option for uploading plugins. I had suspected that earlier when I asked if it was for self-hosted wordpress sites. I think that unless I am self-hosting (wordpress.org)I can’t upload plugins being that wordpress.com won’t support it.
Thanks anyhow for your info!
Yes plugins can be installed only for wordpres.org and not for wordpress.com !!!
Thanks for useful tip. I will try this plugin !
Louis
